The Soap Bar Online Store

Branding & Identity Design

This project was a complete delight from start to finish. Our collaboration began with building the foundational brand behind The Soap Bar. Starting with a refined, traditional logo mark, we elevated the identity by engineering a 3D brand element that could be rendered from any angle, giving the brand maximum versatility across digital and physical touchpoints.

With the brand identity established, we immersed ourselves in the company’s core ethos: a rich product range built on the uncompromising belief that clean skin shouldn’t cost the planet.

The Digital Backbone & UX Design

Delivering a seamless e-commerce user experience was critical to the project’s success. To accommodate a diverse and growing catalog, we built an intuitive, custom filtering system that allows customers to effortlessly navigate products by prominent fragrance, product type, or ideal gender.

Rather than relying on off-the-shelf templates, we crafted a bespoke front-end visual design and a robust, tailored back-end architecture. The result is a modern, memorable online storefront with genuine “wow” factor that drives conversions while echoing the brand’s eco-conscious values.

Tech Stack & Specifications

To ensure unmatched performance, flexibility, and longevity, we built The Soap Bar online store from the ground up without relying on restrictive off-the-shelf templates.

Visual Direction & Product Photography

To ensure the visual presentation did full justice to The Soap Bar brand, we established strict, comprehensive image guidelines before a single photo went live. We developed precise standards covering image dimensions, compression parameters, framing, and product placement. This meticulous approach guarantees every product looks sharp, vibrant, and perfectly proportioned, maintaining visual consistency whether viewed on an ultrawide 4K monitor or a mobile screen.

Bringing the full product lineup into our rural Norfolk studio, we set up custom lighting and staged environments tailored to showcase the textures and natural tones of the range. Every item was carefully photographed and meticulously retouched in post-production to refine colors, balance highlights, and enforce our exact brand guidelines.

By handling the photography in-house, we ensured that the digital storefront authentically reflected the quality of the physical products, while giving our studio the best scent it has ever had! The resulting imagery provides a cohesive, premium aesthetic that builds immediate trust with customers, elevates the overall user experience, and drives strong online engagement.

Becoming Part of the Team

Genuinely connecting with the client’s product line made telling their story second nature. Exceptional scents, premium ingredients, and true functionality won us over immediately—so much so that The Soap Bar products have become everyday staples across our studio and in our own homes.

Project Highlights

Packaging Design & Product Labeling

With the core visual identity and digital storefront firmly established, the natural next evolution for The Soap Bar was bringing the brand tangibly into the real world. We were tasked with creating a cohesive, premium range of packaging and labeling that reflected the eco-conscious ethos of the business while maintaining strict consistency with the online experience.

Our scope spanned every physical touchpoint, from the bespoke postal boxes used for dispatching online orders to the detailed product labels adorning individual containers, jars, and bottles. Because our team had already built the brand architecture and digital assets from the ground up, translating those core design principles onto physical print media was a seamless process. The primary challenge was ensuring that the refined aesthetic, color harmony, and tactile quality of the brand carried across vastly different materials and printing processes without losing impact.

To eliminate guesswork and streamline the production pipeline, we relied heavily on our in-house 3D visualisation capabilities. Rather than waiting on physical proofs or making costly adjustments mid-production, we constructed precise 3D digital models of every bottle, tub, and box variant. By applying our label graphics directly onto these dynamic 3D renders, we could examine the packaging from any angle, test light reflections, inspect typography legibility, and evaluate how different products looked alongside one another on a retail shelf or unboxing setup.

This meticulous digital prototyping phase allowed us to fine-tune layout proportions, adjust color balances, and perfect finish details before anything was sent off to the printers. The result is a unified, highly polished packaging suite that elevates the customer unboxing experience, reinforces brand recognition, and ensures that the physical products look every bit as exceptional on the bathroom counter as they do on the high-resolution screen.
